Job summary

China Comservice (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking a Safety Officer to monitor site operations for compliance with the site safety plan and regulatory standards. You will assist in preparing, implementing and reviewing safety matters, identify hazards, and support incident investigations.

You will help plan toolbox talks, inductions, and safety training, and prepare safety reports while supporting audits and ad-hoc projects.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Higher Diploma or above in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering or related field preferred.
• Certificate of Construction Safety Supervisor (OSHC or CICTA).
• Valid Certificate of First Aid.
• 2 years' solid site experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor site operations for compliance with the site safety plan, main contractor's safety protocol, risk assessment requirements and safety regulations and standards.
• Assist Registered Safety Officer to prepare, implement, maintain, monitor and review all site safety matters.
• Identify potential hazards for site safety and monitor preventive measures.
• Assist on accident/incident/near-miss investigation to prevent recurrence.
• Monitor safety related rules compliance through conducting regular safety inspections and checking of site.
• Assist in risk assessment to ensure site activities are carried out in a safe manner and conditions.
• Assist in planning, organizing and delivering periodic toolbox talks, induction training and safety and health training.
• Prepare safety reports, meeting minutes, materials and safety promotion/awareness programmes.
• Assist in site safety audits and ad-hoc projects.
• Perform any other relevant duties as assigned.

Education
