China Harbour Engineering Co. Ltd in Hong Kong seeks an experienced Safety Officer to oversee site safety management for a construction contract.

You will establish and maintain safety systems, training and promote safety culture across personnel while ensuring regulatory compliance. The role requires 10–15 years as a Registered Safety Officer in construction, with at least 5 years in site safety management, and a strong command of English and Chinese.

Qualifications

• Degree or above in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
• Minimum 10-15 years of practical experience as a Registered Safety Officer in construction industry.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in site safety management.
• Good command of both spoken and written English & Chinese.
• Registered Safety Auditor will be an advantage.
• Must be familiar with and ensure compliance with Government legislation, regulations and/or codes of practice.
• Candidate with less qualification / experience will be considered as Senior Safety Officer.

Responsabilités

• Establish, implement and maintan a safety management system;
• Oversee all safety and health matters of the contract throughout the contract period to ensure compliance with all requirements under Particular Specification Section 27;
• Advise management on measures to improve site safety;
• Inspect the site to identity safety deficiencies and make recommendation for improvement;
• Provide safety training to site personnel;
• Conduct a site safety forum/workshop once per calendar year to maintain momentum and motivate participation of all site personnel on site safety;
• Investigate accidents that occurred and make recommendation to prevent recurrence;
• Develop and implement safety promotion program;
• Carry out internal safety audits and safety inspections;
• Prepare safety document and reports.
