Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Hong Kong seeks a Resident Technical Officer (Civil) to support RSS in delivering upgrading works across Kowloon and nearby districts. The role involves supervising site teams, coordinating with engineers, and ensuring safe, quality contract execution under public works projects.

Candidates should hold a HK Diploma or Higher Certificate in a construction discipline and be prepared for contract terms, irregular hours, and possible assignments overseas.

Drainage Services Department

Upgrading of West Kowloon and Tsuen Wan Sewerage – Phase 2

AtkinsRealis invites application for the following Resident Site Staff positions. The works comprise upgrading of existing sewers in Tsuen Wan, Kwai Chung, Sham Shui Po, Kowloon City, Yau Tsim Mong and Fanling areas. The works have been commenced for completion by 2027.

Your role

• Provision of relevant technical support to RSS at professional ranks or above in the delivery of their duties of the representative or delegate of the Project Manager, Supervisor, Engineer, Architect, Surveyor, and/or Supervising Officer as appropriate under works contracts as assigned by the Consultants*/Consultant*.

• Collaboration with other RSS ranks for delivery of works contracts and the project in safe, efficient and cost effective manner with good quality

• Management of RSS subordinates

• Other duties related to this consultancy, works contracts or the project as may be assigned by the head of the RSS team, their supervisors, RSS at professional ranks or above and the Consultants*/Consultant* from time to time

About you

Resident Technical Officer (Civil) (Ref No.: UWTS2_RTO(C))

Candidates should have:

• Diploma or Higher Certificate from Construction Industry Council in Hong Kong / Hong Kong Institute of Construction / Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education / Technical Institute / Technical College / Polytechnic University or equivalent in an appropriate discipline.

Remark

• The job requirement of the above positions should be referred to the minimum qualification and minimum experience listed in Appendix 7.4 of "Management Handbook for Direct Employment of Resident Site Staff by Consultants for Public Works Projects" from the webpage of Development Bureau.

• Appointment will be made on contract term in accordance with the prevailing Government's conditions and terms applicable for Resident Site Staff. The incumbents will be required to work irregular hours, overtime and shifts (including Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays) and to carry out supervision duties in Mainland China or overseas if necessary.
