Renewables Research Analyst - Financial Modeling

Job summary

CITIC Securities International in Hong Kong seeks a capable Research Analyst support to help build and service financial models for the renewable sector. You will analyze data and contribute to the research product, ensuring timely updates for the sector coverage.

You will compile news, provide commentary on stock and sector impacts, and assist with client requests. A postgraduate qualification plus 4–6 years of related experience is expected, with strong Excel skills and English fluency;

Qualifications

• Postgraduate or above in a business-related or quantitative discipline.
• Minimum 4 to 6 years of work experience preferred.
• Experience in a large accountancy firm will be considered.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Understanding of financial modelling and strong Excel skills.
• Fluent in English; Mandarin may be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support sector research analysts for preparation of market reports and presentation materials, including solar, energy storage and other renewables.
• Retrieve and analyse information from databases and external data sources for stocks under primary coverage within a sector.
• Help track and analyse news relating to the sector.
• Assist sector research analysts with client requests.
• Follow company result announcements and update models/records for companies covered.
• Travel to China for company visits and independent analysis.
