CLSA in Hong Kong seeks an experienced Research Analyst for its Energy Transition Research Team. You will cover select high-quality companies in the Global Energy Sector and help expand our research footprint worldwide in a collaborative, high-performance environment.

This role suits professionals aiming to advance their Equity Research career and build a personal research franchise while engaging with institutional investors through roadshows, meetings and calls.

Qualifications

• Master degree with at least 5 years of buyside or sellside experience.
• CPA/CFA qualification would be an advantage.
• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
• Interest or experience in the Global Energy Sector.
• Ability to produce clear, insightful and actionable research.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth company analysis and industry trends within the Global Energy Sector, with a focus on new energy.
• Track and analyse company announcements, sector newsflow, earnings releases, policy development and macroeconomic events.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models.
• Produce independent investment recommendations for institutional clients.
• Develop and maintain client relationships with institutional investors via roadshows, face-to-face meetings and phone calls.
• Work closely with sales & trading colleagues to provide institutional clients with timely responses and actionable commentary on market developments.
• Partner with Energy Transition Research Team to produce thematic research reports.
• Liaise with corporates and industry experts to host various events.
