Job summary

Canonical is hiring a Software Engineer to contribute to Juju, a large open-source Go project powering distributed software systems worldwide. This Globally remote role involves collaborating with our distributed teams and engaging with upstream communities.

You will work on a highly concurrent system, contribute to cloud automation, and travel 2–4 weeks per year for internal and external events. Excellent English communication and a solid academic track record are desired.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Go and building distributed systems at scale.
• Active contributor to open source projects and communities.
• Strong collaboration across globally distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, deliver, and support features in a highly concurrent, distributed system powering cloud automation.
• Collaborate with a distributed team and share knowledge across time zones.
• Debug issues and engage with upstream communities; participate in open source governance.
