Job summary

YipitData is seeking a Product Development Associate to join the New Product Development (NPD) team. You will assess third-party datasets, support new product development, and identify opportunities that create client value, collaborating with engineering, partnerships, and product teams.

You will work with data, solve open-ended problems, and leverage AI tools to improve research, analysis, and productivity, with East/West Coast hours and significant autonomy.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in data analytics, data science, alternative data, or a related field.
• Strong SQL and/or PySpark skills.
• Experience with large datasets and modern data platforms such as Databricks.
• Ability to translate ambiguous business questions into structured analyses and insights.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and build upon third-party datasets to assess quality, value, and use cases; define questions and metrics.
• Conduct quantitative analyses and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Support development of new products and data-driven initiatives; collaborate with engineering, partnerships, product, and business teams.
