We are seeking a Regional Project Manager to join our client's Asia Regional Office in Hong Kong. In this role, you will spearhead two high-priority workstreams: a critical company restructuring initiative for a local entity, and the regional deployment of several Group-mandated global projects (including a new project management tool, HR core system, and website portals). Acting as the key liaison between Group project sponsors, APAC leadership, and local entities across multiple Asian markets, you will ensure seamless execution, stakeholder alignment, and regulatory compliance in a dynamic B2B2C insurance environment.
Project 1: Company Restructuring
- Assess the requested changes from multiple perspectives, including customer impact (information/consent processes per local insurance regulations), partner relationships (information sharing and governance), and strict regulatory adherence.
- Identify constraints, blockers, and interdependencies that could affect the restructuring timeline, ensuring full alignment with local implementation schedules.
- Oversee the end-to-end steering of the restructuring project, including stakeholder coordination, project structuring, preparation and management of the restructuring plan, and active engagement with local representatives.
Project 2: Group & Regional Projects Implementation
- Lead the regional deployment of multiple global/regional initiatives in 2026, including a new project management tool, a new HR core system, and new website portals.
- Act as the primary liaison between the Group Project Manager, the APAC Project Manager, and local entities across the region, ensuring effective coordination of regional and local actions.
- Regularly report implementation progress to Group and APAC project teams, managing relationships with all stakeholders and securing their commitment throughout the project lifecycle.
General & Strategic Oversight
- Manage conflicting priorities across multiple workstreams, identifying and mitigating risks in close collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Assess the strategic implications of project requests, propose necessary changes, and make informed decisions regarding cost, quality, and timelines while ensuring value creation for the business.
- Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in project management and consulting, ideally involving global or regional projects with stakeholders across multiple countries.
- Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills, with a high degree of autonomy and the ability to engage effectively with C-level stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage conflicting priorities, assess strategic implications, and make informed decisions regarding cost, quality and timelines while ensuring business value.
- Proven track record of identifying and mitigating risks during project implementation, in close collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
