Job summary

Michael Page International (HK) Ltd is seeking a Java Developer to contribute to a real-time risk and P&L platform for equity derivatives. You will work on distributed server-side architecture and collaborate with global teams across New York, Montreal, London, Budapest, and Hong Kong.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of hands-on development, strong Java and Unix skills, and experience with Sybase; familiarity with C++, C#, Perl or Python is advantageous.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on development experience.
• Strong skills in Java, Unix, and Sybase.
• Familiarity with C++, C#, Perl, or Python is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the enhancement of a real-time risk and P&L platform for equity derivatives
• Support systems covering equities, FX, rates, credit and other asset classes
• Work on distributed, multi-threaded server-side architecture and compute frameworks
• Develop and maintain valuation services for trading, pricing, and market-making systems
• Participate in an operation resiliency project within the Hong Kong team
• Collaborate with global teams across New York, Montreal, London, Budapest, and Hong Kong
• Ensure smooth system operations and troubleshoot technical issues
• Produce clear technical documentation and contribute to system improvements
