Job summary

D1hr is seeking a Quality Manager for our Hong Kong operations to lead ISO 9001 compliance, QA/QC activities, and cross-functional quality initiatives. The role requires strong technical knowledge and a proactive leadership style to drive continuous improvement.

You will manage audits, supplier performance, and digital QC documentation while coordinating with Sales, Procurement, and Customer Service teams to ensure top-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in quality control/assurance within the electronics industry.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and quality management systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite preferred).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and execute tasks within defined SOPs and standard practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage ISO 9001-related activities and ensure compliance with QMS.
• Handle receiving inspections and resolve quality issues with suppliers and customers.
• Review datasheets for broker parts for technical compliance and authenticity.
• Oversee third-party testing reports in SharePoint and NetSuite.
• Supervise IQC inspection and testing of broker parts, including microscope inspection.
• Manage final QC inspection for outgoing shipments per MSL requirements.
• Coordinate ISO audits and visits (customer, supplier, certification).
• Drive continuous improvement of the IBS QMS with policies and procedures.
• Provide recommendations to improve warehouse quality standards (visuals, packaging, inspection).
• Ensure ESD controls in the warehouse.
• Maintain digital QC records for parts, customers, vendors, manufacturers.
• Manage vendor ranking reports and supplier evaluations.
• Oversee sample inspections and maintain a digital sample log with Customer Service.
• Provide technical review of datasheets to support sales and cross-reference components.
• Assist sales in sourcing suitable cross-reference components.
• Identify and troubleshoot IT issues raised by internal teams (packing lists, labels, printers, systems).
• Oversee creation and improvement of packing lists, barcode labels, QR codes.
• Ensure timely creation/maintenance of part numbers in NetSuite.
• Develop and improve SOPs related to the QMS.
• Maintain cross-department communication via email/Microsoft Teams.
• Manage, train, and mentor the QC team.
• Establish KPIs and monitor performance.
• Collaborate with senior management to align quality strategies with goals.
• Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. ISO 9001 & Quality Management Responsibilities

Manage all ISO 9001-related activities, ensuring full compliance with company QMS policies and procedures

• Handle receiving inspections and resolve quality issues proactively with suppliers and customers
• Review datasheets for broker parts to ensure technical compliance and authenticity
• Oversee and maintain all third-party testing reports (e.g., White Horse) in SharePoint and NetSuite
• Supervise IQC inspection and testing of broker parts, including microscope inspection
• Manage final QC inspection for all outgoing shipments, ensuring proper packaging and compliance with MSL requirements
• Manage and coordinate all ISO audits and visits, including customer, supplier, and certification audits
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the IBS QMS, including policies, procedures, and guidelines
• Provide recommendations to improve warehouse quality standards (e.g., visual aids, packaging materials, inspection systems)
• Ensure ESD control measures are effectively implemented and maintained in the warehouse
• Maintain accurate and complete digital QC records for parts, customers, vendors, and manufacturers
• Manage vendor ranking reports and supplier performance evaluations within the system
• Oversee sample inspections for customer submission and maintain a digital sample log shared with Customer Service

1. Cross-Functional & Technical Support Responsibilities

• Oversee the creation and continuous improvement of IBS packing lists, barcode labels, and QR code systems
• Ensure timely creation and maintenance of part numbers in NetSuite as requested by sales and procurement teams
• Develop, document, and improve work instructions and SOPs related to the QMS
• Maintain effective communication across departments via email and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams), ensuring timely responses and teamwork
