Job summary

APJ Hong Kong (www.apjcorp.com.hk) seeks a QA Engineer for a 1-year contract renewable. You will develop and execute test plans, perform functional and regression testing, and validate Android apps, REST APIs, MQTT and IoT workflows.

Collaborating with Android, Backend, IoT, Product and DevOps teams, you will support automated testing and participate in Agile ceremonies, with occasional travel to Macau. 3+ years in QA and strong English communication are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software quality assurance experience.
• Strong manual testing skills across mobile applications, APIs and backend services.
• Experience writing clear, concise and comprehensive test cases and test plans.
• Experience testing REST APIs using tools such as Postman or Swagger.
• Familiarity with MQTT messaging, IoT, Kubernetes, Docker and Linux environments.
• Experience with Jira, Git and Agile/Scrum development practices.
• Automation exposure using Appium, Selenium or similar tools is desirable.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to Macau on a weekly basis as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases and regression test suites.
• Perform functional, integration, smoke, sanity, regression and exploratory testing.
• Validate Android applications, REST APIs, MQTT messaging and IoT-related workflows.
• Use Kubernetes, Linux command-line tools and application logs to support defect investigation.
• Identify, document and track defects with clear steps, screenshots and environmental context using Jira.
• Work closely with Android, Backend, IoT, Product and DevOps teams to reproduce and verify issues.
• Support automated testing activities for mobile, API and integration testing where applicable.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and support release validation activities.
