Job summary

The Hong Kong Red Cross is seeking a Community Outreach Coordinator to support the TOGETHER - Tai Po Hub. You will plan and deliver outreach activities, engage residents and vulnerable groups, and collaborate with local partners to strengthen community resilience.

You will handle data collection, reporting, and ensure high-quality service delivery, with a 1-year contract renewal. Proficiency in English and Chinese is required; Tai Po location.

Qualifications

• 5 subjects passed in HKCEE/HKDSE (including Chinese, English and Mathematics).
• University Degree holder in any discipline.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop programme materials and deliver community programmes and outreach activities, including workshops, talks, mass events, publications, social media content.
• Conduct outreach work to engage residents and vulnerable groups in the community and encourage participate in Hub programmes.
• Collaborate with local partners, community organisations, schools and stakeholders to implement outreach initiatives.
• Implement action plans and consolidate statistics data for monitoring service progress and quality.
• Assist in daily operations, coordinate activities, promotions and community engagement.
• Perform administrative tasks such as photo/video editing, data entry and finance processing.

Job description

Purpose

The core purpose of this position is to support the planning, coordination, and implementation of outreach services at TOGETHER - Tai Po Hub. S/he will follow established action plans to engage Tai Po residents in participating in service hub activities through community outreach, home visits, needs assessments, and partnership activities, with the aim of enhancing community resilience and fostering stronger community connections.

Duties

• Develop programme materials and deliver community programmes and outreach activities, including workshops, talks, mass events, publications, social media content, etc.
• Conduct outreach work to engage residents and vulnerable groups in the community, identify service needs, and encourage participation in Hub programmes and activities.
• Collaborate with local partners, community organisations, schools, and stakeholders to implement outreach initiatives and on-site community activities.
• Implement action plans and consolidate various statistics data regularly for monitoring service progress and quality.
• Assist in daily operations, coordinates activities, activity promotions and community engagement.
• Perform administrative tasks such as photo/video editing, data entry, finance processing, and resource management etc.
• Any service implementation appointed by the agency.

Requirements

• 5 subjects passed in HKCEE/HKDSE (including Chinese, English and Mathematics) or equivalent; or
• University Degree holder in any discipline
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Experience in social service sector is an advantage
• Proficient in PC skills, including MS Office and Chinese word-processing
• Self-motivated, responsible and able to work under pressure
• Good command in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
