Job summary
Ascendion in Singapore is seeking a hands-on Database Administrator to support MS SQL Server and MongoDB environments in production. This role emphasizes database stability, incident recovery, performance tuning, disaster recovery readiness, and safe production changes.

Qualifications
- Production experience with MS SQL Server in mission-critical environments.
- Direct MongoDB administration experience in production.
- Experience with high availability, backups, and recovery strategies.
- Ability to troubleshoot performance and blocking issues in live systems.
- Experience handling production incidents and change management.
Responsibilities
- Provide L2/L3 production support for MS SQL Server and MongoDB.
- Investigate outages, failover issues, blocking, deadlocks and slow queries.
- Support Always On Availability Groups and MongoDB replica sets.
- Monitor replication, cluster health and performance metrics.
- Maintain backups and perform restores, point-in-time recovery.
- Assist with data patches, migrations and production deployments.
