noissue is seeking a detail-oriented and technically minded Product Technologist to strengthen product quality, compliance, and technical standards across our global supplier base. Based in Hong Kong/China and reporting to the Sourcing Director, this role is responsible for implementing and evaluating the effectiveness of our inspection systems and procedures, and for managing the quality and compliance documentation that underpins every product we sell.
You will play a critical role in ensuring our custom packaging products consistently meet agreed specifications, sustainability claims, and regulatory requirements. Where quality issues arise, you will work closely with suppliers to identify root causes and drive corrective actions that prevent recurrence.
This role also acts as the technical point of reference for the business, partnering with Sourcing, Project Management, Order management team and Sales to answer product and material questions, and to make sure our compliance documentation is accurate, current, and readily available.
You will work closely with suppliers and supply chain team with regular travel expected to supplier facilities. Cross-functional collaboration with Sourcing, Project management, Order Management, and Commercial team is central to success in this position.
Implement and evaluate the effectiveness of inspection systems and procedures across incoming, in-line, and pre-shipment stages. Define AQL sampling plans, inspection checklists, and defect classifications, and manage third-party inspection partners. Analyse inspection results and defect trends to measure how well procedures are working, and refine them where they are not catching issues early enough.
Manage quality-related documents, including sample test reports, certificates of analysis, compliance documentation, and supporting documents. Maintain a structured, centralised document library with clear version control, track expiry and renewal dates for certifications, and ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and available to internal teams and customers on request.
Develop and maintain clear technical specifications for materials and finished products, including print, colour, dimensional, and material tolerances. Ensure specifications are aligned with suppliers, reflected in product data, and support our sustainability and certification claims.
Monitor supplier quality performance and lead investigations into non-conformances and customer complaints. Drive root-cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), support supplier audits and onboarding, and feed quality data into the vendor performance framework.
Act as the technical point of contact for Sourcing, Purchasing, Customer Experience, and Sales on product, material, and compliance questions. Identify opportunities to improve quality processes and systems, adopt tools that increase efficiency, and provide clear quality reporting to the VP Supply Chain and leadership team.
