Job summary

Proxima is seeking a Principal Consultant to join its IT and Technology practice. You will be part of client-facing teams delivering high-impact procurement initiatives, supporting insights development, and shaping solution design to deliver measurable outcomes.

This is a hands-on, practitioner-consultant role where you will build experience quickly, assume responsibility early, and work directly with clients to drive real change across global engagements.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in global IT procurement and related advisory work.
• Experience leading and delivering in a consultancy or client-facing environment.
• Strong knowledge of indirect procurement and technology sourcing.
• Experience with large-scope spend profiles (e.g., $50M+ annual).

Responsibilities

• Lead and support delivery across client engagements.
• Develop strategy, lead category management and sourcing activities.
• Analyze data to identify value, risk, and performance improvements.
• Engage stakeholders to gather requirements and communicate findings.
• Travel as required to support client delivery and team collaboration.
