Position Overview
We are looking for a Principal Consultant, Sustainable Finance & ESG Solutions to serve as our primary subject matter expert and strategic advisor for elite enterprise clients. In this role, you will work directly with utility, and corporate clients to design, implement, and validate IT architectures that track statutory net-zero targets, model environmental policy risks, and evaluate credit risks.

The ideal candidate brings a world-class academic foundation (PhD level) in sustainable finance, a proven track record of leading high-impact empirical research, and the strategic acumen to translate climate risk variables into actionable software and data architectures.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Client Advisory: Work directly with enterprise clients – including asset managers, and utilities – to architect IT solutions that track statutory net-zero targets and evaluate multi-faceted climate risks.

Solution Architecture & Design: Partner with software engineers and data scientists to design enterprise data pipelines, carbon disclosure mechanisms, and automated green lending validation frameworks.

Quantitative Risk Modeling: Translate complex empirical insights regarding environmental policy risk, cost of debt, and financial institutions' risk preferences into algorithmic inputs for our FinTech products.

Thought Leadership & Research Integration: Monitor global net-zero regulations and green credit policy changes, integrating latest academic and empirical methodologies directly into the company’s product roadmap.

High-Value Stakeholder Management: Serve as the trusted technical and domain authority in high-stakes presentations to c-suite executives, government bodies, and international grant partners.

Required Qualifications & Profile

Education: PhD or equivalent advanced degree in Finance, Sustainable Finance, or a heavily quantitative Economics discipline.

Domain Expertise: Deep, verified expertise in sustainable finance, energy transition financing, ESG shareholder engagement, and green credit policy impacts.

Empirical Research Track Record: Demonstrated experience leading major empirical research projects funded by international foundations, governments, or tier-1 financial groups.

Analytical Skills: Expert understanding of financial risk metrics, corporate financing costs, downside risk modeling, and advanced statistical frameworks.

Communication: Exceptional ability to articulate complex financial-environmental theories into structured requirements for technology and product development teams.
