Job summary

Hitachi Energy Hong Kong is seeking a Project Engineer to assist Project Manager and engineers in charge with project execution for power system control, protection, substation automation and communications. You will oversee design reviews, coordinate with suppliers, and support commissioning and testing activities to ensure on-time delivery and quality.

The role requires 3–5 years in substations, good English and Chinese communication, and willingness to travel to project sites.

Qualifications

Degree/High Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with 3-5 years of relevant experiences in power electrical HV/MV substations.
Candidate with Grade B Registered Electrical Worker Certificate would be an advantage.
Experience in test and commissioning of HV power transmission and distribution substation or the secondary equipment of the power substation is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Provide schedule input for design tasks and budgeting; support senior engineers in design and construction.
Review plans, technical specs, contract docs; resolve design conflicts and material issues.
Participate in project meetings; manage meeting minutes, tasks, and submittals; support installation of power systems components and software.
