Job summary

Pyramid Global Technologies in Hong Kong seeks an experienced engineer with 8+ years in power plant operations, preferably PF fired boiler, to oversee daily operations and respond to system events.

You will act as shift in charge for 3+ years, coordinate with maintenance, manage shutdowns and startups, and contribute to distribution automation projects, system protection, and energy management. Strong communication and self-direction required; certification in boiler operation is a plus.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in power plant operations, preferably PF fired boiler
• Experience in handling emergencies of boiler and turbine as a DCS
• Engineer for at least 5+ years
• Experience operating the power plant as a shift in charge for 3+ years
• Sound knowledge in performance monitoring and coordinating with maintenance teams
• Experience in Shutdown & startup activities of power plant and handling emergencies during the same
• Exposure to Distribution Automation applications such as system protection, energy management and automation implementation
• Exposure to integration and maintenance of Distribution Automation systems, networks, protocols, technologies and interfaces
• Proven analytical and qualitative research abilities with excellent written and verbal communications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with maintenance team to attend maintenance related activities
• Experience in Shutdown & startup activities of power plant and handling emergencies during the same
• Handle emergencies during shutdowns and startups
• Exposure to Distribution Automation applications such as system protection, primary line energy management, demand side management and automation implementation
• Exposure to Integration and maintenance of Distribution Automation systems, networks, protocols, technologies and interfaces
• Proven analytical abilities with excellent written and verbal communications
• Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision
• Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
• Ensure high quality deliverables on time and coordinate with external stakeholders
