Job summary

Societe Generale is seeking a software-focused professional in Hong Kong to propose and develop modernization solutions with Java and C#. You will assist the IT development team on modernization and decommissioning projects, investigate incidents, and collaborate across IT and infrastructure to maintain production stability.

You will monitor health metrics, build monitoring tools, and drive initiatives to reduce operational risks and improve production efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar majors.
• Good knowledge of Unix and SQL.
• Capable of understanding and coding in Java or C#.
• Willing to learn and quick to adapt; good communication skills.
• Fluent in English is mandatory.

Responsibilities

The technology department started an ambitious project to cover the front to back lifecycle of Structured Product, including the requirements from the financial engineers, sales, traders and middle office.As part of the Global Banking Technology and Operation team, we work hand in hand with the software developers, project managers, and users to design, develop, and ensure the stability of global strategic solution for the Structured Product business line.You must be creative, innovative, and able to propose better solutions whenever possible.
