Job summary

SMCP Asia Limited is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Executive to support payroll administration and compensation & benefits across RoA markets in Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Singapore and Malaysia. You will ensure accurate, timely payroll processing and contribute to regional C&B initiatives and HR projects.

The role requires 3–5 years of payroll/CB experience, proficiency in Excel and HRIS, and knowledge of local regulations.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of payroll and/or compensation & benefits experience, preferably in a retail or consumer goods environment.
• Experience with multi-country payroll within Asia is a plus.
• Knowledge of local payroll regulations and tax reporting expectations.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support monthly payroll processing within established timelines.
• Manage payroll-related administration including leave, attendance, pension, and tax reporting.
• Liaise with external payroll vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure compliant payroll operations.
• Support compensation and benefits administration including enrollments, terminations and renewals.
• Prepare payroll reconciliations, headcount and manpower reports for management.
• Assist in annual salary review, bonus administration and budgeting exercises.
• Contribute to market benchmarking, compensation analysis and regional rewards initiatives.
• Participate in HRIS projects and payroll process improvements.
• Support HR audits and maintain payroll and benefits records.

Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Executive to join our HR team. This role will be responsible for payroll administration and compensation & benefits support across our Rest of Asia (RoA) markets, including Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Singapore and Malaysia. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while supporting regional C&B initiatives and HR projects.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and support monthly payroll processing, ensuring payroll inputs are accurate, complete and submitted within established timelines.

Manage payroll-related administration, including leave records, attendance data, pension/social security contributions, tax reporting and employee benefits administration.

Liaise with external payroll vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth payroll operations and compliance with local regulations.

Support compensation and benefits administration, including employee enrollments, terminations and annual benefits renewal activities.

Prepare payroll reconciliations, headcount reports, manpower reports and other C&B-related analyses.

Support annual salary review, bonus administration, budgeting and forecasting exercises.

Assist in market benchmarking, compensation analysis and regional rewards initiatives.

Participate in HRIS enhancement, process improvement and payroll-related projects.

Support HR audits and ensure proper maintenance of payroll and C&B records.

Perform other ad hoc assignments and regional HR projects as required.

Qualifications & Experience

Degree holder in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Accounting or related disciplines.

Around 3-5 years of payroll and/or compensation & benefits experience, preferably gained in the retail industry.

Exposure to multi-country payroll within Asia will be an advantage.

Knowledge of employment-related legislation, payroll practices and statutory requirements.

Good team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and HRIS systems.
