Job summary

One Step Journey Education Centre PTE. LTD. in Ang Mo Kio is seeking a part-time Math & Science teacher to join a small-group setting (3–6 students) with a potential path to a full-time role in 2027.

You will teach Primary Mathematics/Science and Secondary Mathematics/Science based on strengths, observe and train with current staff, and provide parents with progress updates while maintaining a positive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Previous tuition or classroom teaching experience is preferred, but strong candidates without extensive formal teaching experience are welcome to apply.
• You may teach Primary Mathematics, Primary Science, Secondary Mathematics and Secondary Science (Chemistry/Physics/Biology) based on strengths.
• Ability to explain concepts clearly and adapt to students of different abilities and learning paces.

Responsibilities

• Teach small-group classes of approximately 3–6 students.
• Explain concepts clearly and adapt teaching to different abilities.
• Identify weaknesses and learning gaps and guide students through practice and exam preparation.
• Prepare lessons and familiarise yourself with OSJ's teaching materials.
• Monitor progress and provide meaningful updates to parents.
• Communicate confidently and professionally with parents about questions or concerns.
• Work with existing teachers during training and transition.
• Maintain a positive, encouraging classroom environment.
