Prime Unity Education is seeking an accommodating Part-Time English Teacher to cover HKDSE English, IELTS, or Phonics. The role focuses on secondary students on HKDSE tracks or IELTS/Phonics modules, with class assignments according to strengths.

You will work with university-educated applicants who are patient, reliable communicators, and possess knowledge of HKDSE scoring rubrics. HKID and SCRC clearance are preferred.

Qualifikationen

• University student or degree holder (all academic majors welcome).
• Clear, patient, engaging and reliable communicator.
• Valid HKID and clear SCRC check (or willing to apply).
• Strong track record in HKDSE English (Level 5, 5*, or 5**).
• Familiar with the current HKDSE curriculum and scoring rubrics.
• Experience or familiarity with EITHER IELTS exam format & assessment criteria (IELTS Band 7.5+) OR Systematic phonics systems (e.g., Jolly Phonics, Letterland, Oxford).

Aufgaben

• Break down question-tackling strategies, time management, and essay structures.
• Review past papers, mark student practice work, and provide clear feedback.
• Help students build confidence and exam technique.

Location: Hong Kong Island / Kowloon / New Territories

Pay: Competitive / hourly rate (commensurate with grades & experience) ($350 - $450)

Lesson Prep: All course materials, past papers, and marking keys provided

What HKDSE English Teacher Will Do

• Teach secondary students HKDSE English Language (Papers 1–4)
• Break down question-tackling strategies, time management, and essay structures
• Review past papers, mark student practice work, and provide clear feedback
• Help students build confidence and exam technique

What IELTS / Phonics English Teacher Will Do

You do not need to teach both. We match classes to your specific strength:

• Track A — IELTS Prep (Secondary / Adults): Teach IELTS exam modules (Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking), exam strategies, and band-score improvement.
• Track B — Phonics & Foundation (Primary): Teach letter sounds, blending, segmenting, and early reading using systematic phonics.
• (Open to teaching both if qualified)
