Job summary

The Vocational Training Council seeks a Teaching Associate to deliver IT-related courses at Ma On Shan Campus. You will develop and revise curricula, teach and assess, and handle student administration while contributing to projects and community activities.

Ideal candidates hold an IT degree, have 3+ years of teaching experience, and communicate well in English and Chinese. The role requires independent work and strong teamwork. Possible postings to other sites as needed.

Major Duties

• (a) To perform teaching duties;

Requirements

• (a) A recognised degree in Information Technology or equivalent, preferably with a post-graduate qualification;
• (b) At least 3 years’ relevant teaching / training experience;
• (c) Good presentation, teaching and facilitation skills in both English and Chinese;
• (d) Ability to work independently and under pressure;
• (e) Be a good team player and able to work collaboratively with teammates.
• (f) Good understanding of the learning needs of Non-engaged Youth (NEY); and
• (g) Good experience with Ethnic Minority Youth (EMY) would be an advantage.

• (1) The post is at the rank of “Teaching Associate”.
• (2) Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment.
• (3) The appointee will work at Ma On Shan Campus but may be posted to other designated sites to suit the operational needs.
• (4) In support of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme launched by the Hong Kong Police Force, all prospective appointees will be requested to undergo the SCRC at the advanced stage of the employment process.
