Job summary

Nex is seeking a part-time Content Operations Assistant in Hong Kong to support our localization workflow. The work is hands-on and detail-driven, with onboarding and templates provided.

As a student-friendly role, you will prepare localization handoff packages, verify builds, maintain docs, assist with subtitles and footage, and support ad-hoc tasks. Fluent English is required.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail with an organized approach.
• Curiosity about why and how processes work, with willingness to suggest improvements.
• Comfortable using docs tools such as Google Sheets and Notion and able to learn new tools quickly.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain localization handoff packages for translation vendors.
• Carry out build smoke tests before submitting builds to the translation team.
• Regularly update the documentation database and support localization tasks.
• Assist with subtitle verification, editing, and game footage recording.

As a Content Operations Assistant, you will support hands-on, foundational tasks within our localization workflow. The work is detail-driven rather than technical. A programming, engineering, or translation background is welcome but entirely optional; templates, guidelines, and onboarding support are provided throughout.

Key Responsibilities

• Localization Handoff Package Preparation: Compile and maintain localization handoff packages for translation vendors, including capturing in-game content and mapping in-game scenes to string tables.
• Pre-Handoff Verification: Carry out build smoke tests before submitting builds to the translation team.
• Upkeep and Version Control: Regularly update the supporting documentation database.
• Localization Support: Assist with localization tasks, including subtitle verification and editing, and game footage recording.
• Ad-hoc Tasks: Support the Content Operations team with any ad-hoc tasks.

Key Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and an organized approach to work.
• Curiosity about how and why things are done, with an interest in suggesting improvements once familiar with the process.
• Comfortable using documentation tools such as Google Sheets and Notion, with the ability to learn new tools readily.
• Fluent in English.
