Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) is seeking an Officer in Risk Management and Compliance to support enhancements in risk controls and compliance workflows using technology. The role involves data analysis, stakeholder collaboration, and research on Exchange Fund issues.

English and Chinese proficiency are required, with at least 2 years of relevant experience. The position is a fixed-term contract with competitive remuneration and opportunities to contribute to critical risk and compliance

Qualifications

• University degree in risk management, computer science, finance, statistics or related fields.
• At least 2 years of working experience, preferably in banking, finance or tech initiatives.
• Hands-on experience with process re-engineering; Python and Tableau are a definite advantage.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in enhancing operational efficiencies relating to risk management and compliance workflows with the use of appropriate technology solutions
• Enrich the risk management and compliance functions with the use of data and analytical tools
• Conduct topical research on issues relevant to the management of the Exchange Fund
• Maintain effective communications with stakeholders to achieve desirable outcomes
• Provide administrative support and perform ad hoc duties as assigned

Requirements

• University degree, preferably in risk management, computer science, finance, statistics or related fields
• At least 2 years of working experience. Relevant experience in banking, finance, or technology-related initiatives preferred
• Hands-on experience in process re-engineering and experience in using Python and Tableau a definite advantage
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese

• Appointment will be made on fixed contract terms
