Job summary

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) seeks a capable professional to support daily operations within the Cash Trading division. The role involves collaborating across teams and contributing to market structure development and related feasibility studies.

Candidates should have a university degree in finance or economics, at least 1 year of relevant experience, and strong English and Mandarin Chinese communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• University degree holder preferably in finance, economics or other business-related subjects.
• At least 1-year relevant work experience; experience in banking or financial industry is a plus.
• Self-starter, team player with sound judgment and good problem-solving skills.
• Strong technical skills and understanding in Hong Kong cash market and Stock Connect is an advantage.
• Strong business sense with ability to multitask across priorities and deadlines.
• Proficiency in English and Chinese (Mandarin) with excellent communication and proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the execution and implementation of HKEX’s strategic projects, including market structure and Stock Connect related projects.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of project initiatives affecting cash trading, including impact assessment, system changes requirements and testing.
• Participate in market and policy research related to market development for strategic projects.
• Assist in preparing write-ups, management papers, reports, proposals and presentations in English and Chinese.
• Perform other duties as delegated and assigned by management.

Job Duties

• Assist in the execution and implementation of HKEX’s strategic projects, including but not limited to the Hong Kong market structure and Stock Connect related projects


• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth delivery of project initiatives which affect cash trading, on areas including but not limited to impact assessment, system changes requirements and testing of these relevant changes


• Participate in various market and policy research relating to market development for the execution of strategic projects


• Assist in the preparation of write-ups, management papers, reports, proposals and presentation materials (both in English and Chinese)


• Perform other duties as delegated and assigned by management
