Job summary

Luxoft is seeking an experienced Murex Functional Consultant to support a Murex implementation or change project. You will define, configure, validate, and support functional solutions across Front Office, Middle Office, and Back Office while collaborating with business stakeholders, BA teams, developers, and support groups.

The role demands hands-on Murex expertise, solid knowledge of financial products and trade lifecycles, and a track record of delivering high-quality, tested configurations

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Murex Functional Consultant on implementations or change projects.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Murex and its functional configuration.
• Experience across Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office, Risk, Market Data, P&L Settlements/ Confirmations/ Accounting.
• Strong understanding of financial markets products and trade lifecycle processes.
• Ability to translate business requirements into practical Murex solutions.
• Experience in testing, issue analysis, and defect resolution.
• Strong communication skills with technical and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define target-state processes and functional designs for Murex implementations or changes.
• Configure and maintain relevant Murex components: product setup, workflows, event generation, pricing, market data, settlement and accounting mapping, reporting and messaging.
• Ensure configuration changes are documented, tested, and controlled.
• Support environment migration and deployment activities.
• Support end-to-end trade lifecycle processes within Murex and validate product behavior.
• Troubleshoot pricing, risk, settlements, confirmations, accounting, or reporting issues.
• Collaborate with business teams to ensure functionality meets desk and operational requirements.
• Provide post-go-live support and contribute to hypercare and cutover activities.
• Produce functional design documents, configuration notes, test scripts, and support documentation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for defining, configuring, validating, and supporting functional solutions within Murex across Front Office, Middle Office, and/or Back Office areas, depending on project scope.The role requires strong hands-on Murex expertise, a solid understanding of financial products and trade lifecycle processes, and the ability to work closely with business stakeholders, BA teams, developers, and support teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

• Functional Design and Solution Definition
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional Murex solutions.
• Define target-state processes and functional designs for Murex implementation or change activities.
• Identify standard configuration options, gaps, dependencies, and potential workarounds.
• Recommend functional solutions aligned with business, risk, control, and technical constraints.Hands-on Murex Configuration
• Perform or support hands-on configuration in Murex.
• Configure and maintain relevant Murex components, which may include:o product setupo workflowso event generationo pricing parameterso market data setupo settlement and payment logico accounting mappingso reporting and messaging configurations
• Ensure configuration changes are properly documented, tested, and controlled.

• Support end-to-end trade lifecycle processes within Murex.
• Validate product behavior across booking, valuation, lifecycle events, settlement, and reporting.
• Troubleshoot issues related to pricing, risk, settlements, confirmations, accounting, or reporting.
• Work with business teams to ensure configured functionality meets desk and operational requirements.Testing and Validation
• Define functional test scenarios, expected results, and acceptance criteria.
• Support unit testing, system testing, integration testing, regression testing, and UAT.
• Investigate defects, perform root-cause analysis, and support retesting.
• Validate that configured functionality works as intended in all relevant scenarios.Stakeholder and Delivery Support
• Work closely with business users, BAs, developers, testers, and project managers.
• Support issue resolution, design reviews, and implementation planning.
• Communicate functional risks, limitations, and dependencies clearly.
• Contribute to cutover, go-live, and hypercare support.Production and Hypercare Support
• Support production issue investigation and resolution.
• Analyze configuration-related incidents and propose fixes or workarounds.
• Provide post-go-live support and assist with stabilization activities.
• Help ensure operational continuity and functional integrity of the platform.Documentation
• Produce and maintain functional design documents, configuration notes, test scripts, and support documentation.
• Ensure traceability from business requirements to functional design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
• Maintain accurate records of configuration decisions, assumptions, and known limitations.
