Job summary

ConnectedGroup Limited in Hong Kong seeks a Developer/Tech Lead for Mobile Apps in Insurance. You will lead local, vendor and offshore teams to deliver initiatives on time and within budget, shaping digital strategy with stakeholders, and defining end-to-end architectures for scalable web and mobile solutions.

You will drive cloud-based, agile delivery with DevOps practices while ensuring quality, security and production-readiness across platforms.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
At least 6+ years of IT experience.
Experience delivering digital solutions using cloud technologies.
Experience in mobile application development and troubleshooting, as well as front-office application support.
Experience in a multinational financial services organization or technology consulting firm is preferred.
Knowledge of the insurance industry is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Lead local, vendor and offshore teams to deliver application initiatives on time and within budget.
Partner with business stakeholders to shape digital strategy and roadmaps, and translate business needs into technical requirements.
Assess solution options systematically and define end-to-end architectures spanning frontend, backend and infrastructure.
Lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance digital solutions, including web and mobile applications, business logic and microservices.
Drive agile delivery on cloud platforms, using DevOps practices and appropriate modern technologies.
Promote strong software engineering practices to meet quality, security, reliability and production-readiness requirements.
Identify delivery risks and issues early, develop mitigation plans, and monitor project schedules and outcomes.
Ensure solutions meet stability and performance targets across all components, with consideration for cross-platform compatibility and optimization.
Oversee the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, documentation and compliance with enterprise standards.
Work effectively with offshore teams and vendors, including leading design and code reviews.
Support the smooth operation of production systems and resolve incidents efficiently.
Improve existing systems and streamline development processes to protect software integrity and increase delivery effectiveness.
Support the Digital Delivery & Transformation team in defining strategic goals and deliverables for digital channels, and track implementation outcomes.
