Job summary

Jane Street is offering a Machine Learning Researcher internship where you'll work side by side with experienced ML Researchers on projects that blend novel ML ideas with real-world trading strategies. You will learn how we think about markets through challenging classes and activities and practice using established methods alongside our own twists to train practical models.

Note that IP-sensitive nature of ML research may limit outside publication.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate or higher degree with ML experience.
• Strong analytical and mathematical problem-solving skills.
• Familiar with Python and ML frameworks.
• Excellent communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Work with ML researchers on real-world datasets.
• Experiment with new modeling paradigms and blue-sky approaches.
• Tune models and analyze predictions.
• Iterate quickly to implement ideas in code.
