EMCD, an international tech company in crypto, seeks a Middle Platform Engineer to join the infrastructure team in a remote-first setup. You will build and maintain Kubernetes infrastructure, automate provisioning with Terraform and Ansible, and streamline CI/CD with GitLab pipelines.

You will drive GitOps using ArgoCD and Helm, improve monitoring with Prometheus/Grafana, and create internal tools in Python or Go to help development teams ship features quickly and safely.

Qualifikationen

• Experience DevOps/infrastructure engineering or SRE in production environments.
• Strong Linux and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, HTTP/S, DNS).
• Hands-on Kubernetes/OpenShift in production.
• IaC/configuration management with Terraform/Ansible.
• CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance.
• Familiarity with GitOps (ArgoCD, Helm).
• Experience with monitoring/logging tooling and incident response.
• Python or Go for automation and tooling.

EMCD is an international technology company in the crypto industry. We are developing an ecosystem of products and services and are looking for a Middle Platform Engineer to join our infrastructure team.

You will help develop our shared engineering platform, automate infrastructure, and enable development teams to deliver changes to production quickly and safely.

This role is a good fit for an engineer with practical DevOps experience who wants to grow into Platform Engineering and SRE, gradually taking on greater responsibility for system reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Kubernetes infrastructure across cloud and bare-metal environments.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform and Ansible.
• Build and improve GitLab CI pipelines and reusable build and deployment templates for development teams.
• Maintain GitOps workflows using ArgoCD and Helm.
• Improve monitoring, logging, and alerting, and participate in incident investigation and resolution.
• Develop internal tools and automation using Python or Go.
• Contribute to improvements in networking, secrets management, and access controls.
• Help developers use the platform, handle infrastructure requests, and turn recurring tasks into automated solutions.

Requirements

• Practical commercial experience in DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or SRE.
• Strong Linux skills and an understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, HTTP/S, and DNS.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes or OpenShift in production environments.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management, preferably using Terraform and Ansible.
• Practical experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Helm and GitOps principles.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools, including participation in infrastructure incident investigations.
• Python or Go programming skills for task automation.
• The ability to explain your technical decisions, collaborate with developers, and take tasks through to completion.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with both cloud and bare-metal infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with GitLab CI, ArgoCD, and Harbor.
• Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, VictoriaMetrics, Mimir, OpenTelemetry, Loki, or ELK.
• Experience with Cilium, Nginx, Traefik, Gateway API, or Cloudflare.
• Experience with Vault, Keycloak, and vulnerability scanning tools.
• Experience operating databases, message brokers, and object storage.
• Experience building reusable infrastructure modules, CLI utilities, or self-service tools for developers.
