Job summary

International Housewares Retail Company Limited in Hong Kong is seeking a Merchandising professional to assist the Merchandising manager in developing and implementing strategies for products. You will participate in assortment, pricing, promotions, launches, and life cycles, and execute all merchandising processes from sourcing to orders and pricing.

Qualifications

• Diploma or above in Merchandising, Business Administration, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3-4 years of relevant experience in merchandising, buying, product management, or category management, preferably in electronic products.
• Strong experience in product sourcing, supplier negotiation, sales analysis, inventory management, pricing, and cost control.
• Strong commercial awareness with good numerical, analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Merchandising manager in developing and implementing merchandising strategies for products.
• Participate in product assortment, pricing, promotions, product launches, and product life cycles.
• Execute all merchandising processes, from sourcing, issuing orders, expediting order confirmation, pricing and monitoring sales performance.
• Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors on product costs, trading terms, delivery schedules, rebates, and promotional support.
• Monitor sales performance, inventory levels, sell-through rates, profit margins, and product performance.
• Identify best-selling, slow-moving, and obsolete products and recommend replenishment, promotion plan.
• Coordinate with internal departments, suppliers, logistics providers, and retail stores to ensure timely product launches and deliveries.
• Prepare sales forecasts, purchase plans, stock replenishment plans, and regular merchandising reports.
• Maintain accurate product specifications, pricing, supplier details, warranty information, and inventory records in the company system.
