Job summary

The Hongkong Electric Co., Ltd. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to monitor project progress, review engineering documents, conduct tender evaluations, and ensure compliance with safety, quality and statutory regulations.

The role involves site supervision and coordination across design, procurement, construction, and commissioning stages. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and at least five years of relevant experience, with knowledge of local and international

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines.
Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.
Familiar with local and international regulations, standards and codes of practice.

Responsibilities

To monitor project progress and coordinate activities throughout the project lifecycle, including design, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning and project close-out
To review engineering drawings, method statements, risk assessments and technical submissions to ensure compliance with project requirements, applicable standards and statutory regulations
To conduct tender evaluations and make recommendations
To liaise with internal stakeholders, contractors and other external parties to resolve environmental, quality, health and safety issues, and to ensure compliance with legal and statutory requirements as well as other project objectives
To carry out inspections, supervision and coordination work at site
