Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver client events across Greater China including venue, guests, on-site delivery and post-event reporting.
• Produce on-brand marketing materials and translations (Traditional and Simplified Chinese).
• Oversee social media calendar for Greater China; draft English-language content for senior management (LinkedIn).
• Support PR agency activities: edit press releases, prepare materials, assist at press conferences.
• Draft and distribute regional internal communications and manage budget tracking and invoicing.

Referment is working with a global private banking and asset management group to recruit a Marketing and Communications Manager for its Greater China business, on a six-month fixed-term contract. The role sits within the regional Asia marketing and communications team and supports activity across Hong Kong SAR, Taiwan and mainland China, with additional coordination for the wider region.

The team runs client-facing marketing, events and communications for a demanding private-banking audience, so the work spans brand collateral, digital content, media relations and client events rather than sitting in a single channel. You will report to the Director of Marketing & Communications for Asia and carry your own portfolio of campaigns and events end to end.

The Role

• Plan and deliver client events and sponsorship activations across Greater China — venue and vendor management, guest-list coordination with front-office teams, on-site delivery and post-event reporting — and support selected regional events remotely.
• Own the production of on-brand marketing materials, including brochures, corporate gifting and event collateral, and quality-control Traditional and Simplified Chinese translations.
• Run the Greater China social media calendar, review and approve WeChat content, and work with colleagues to draft English-language content for senior management's LinkedIn presence.
• Support external communications with the PR agency — editing press releases, preparing materials and providing logistical and on-site support for press conferences and media engagements.
• Draft and distribute regional internal communications and intranet content, and help with budget tracking, invoicing and vendor administration.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, cross-border requirements and banking and financial-industry rules and regulations.

What We're Looking For

• Five to eight years in marketing and communications, ideally within financial services, luxury or hospitality, focused on the Greater China market.
• A track record of executing client events and marketing campaigns in Hong Kong SAR, Taiwan and/or mainland China.
• Experience managing external digital, social and/or PR agencies and quality-controlling their output.
• Strong editorial judgement in Chinese and English, with familiarity with WeChat and LinkedIn as corporate channels.
• Professional fluency in English, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese.
• Comfort managing several workstreams independently and to a high standard under tight timelines, with an understanding of UHNW client expectations.
