Job summary

Maven Securities is seeking a Risk Analyst to monitor and control market risk across proprietary trading and options market-making. The role collaborates with Risk, Trading, and Tech teams to maintain robust risk controls and metrics.

You will engage across APAC and other locations, contributing to risk framework development and daily risk monitoring. A quantitative background and Python skills are desirable for effective analysis.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in proprietary trading or buy-side.
• Strong knowledge of equity strategies and fixed income derivatives.
• Experience with options is a plus.
• Quantitative degree in finance or STEM.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Interest in AI and its workplace applications.
• Basic Python programming for productivity.
• Calm, measured under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Diligent real-time market risk monitoring across portfolios.
• Daily communication on risk issues with the CRO and stakeholders.
• Market risk monitoring for proprietary trading and options market-making.
• Collaborate with technologists to enhance algorithmic trading controls.
• Develop and refine the risk monitoring and reporting framework.
• Engage with the broader Risk team on risk-focused project work.
• Coordinate risk activity across APAC and other trading locations.
