Job summary

AXA XL in Hong Kong is seeking an Underwriting Assistant – Marine to support the Middle Office and assist the Underwriting team across renewal and prospect accounts. You will handle end-to-end activities from submission to expiration while expanding your knowledge of marine insurance products.

The role emphasizes precise data handling, cross-functional collaboration, and timely processing of premiums, with a focus on building strong relationships with insureds, brokers, and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Ideally the candidate should have graduate certification and/or be pursuing insurance certification.
• Relevant insurance experience and/or training, or an equivalent education/experience mix.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Timely requests to shares services team for quote creation and name clearance activities.
• Timely and accurate binding (or declinature) of quotes.
• Management of account portfolio.
• Timely and accurate processing of premiums.
• Proactive engagement with underwriting to ensure smooth handover and complete information.
