Job summary

Aster Recruiting is seeking an experienced Middle Office professional to support its Equity Sales desk in Hong Kong. This hands-on, desk-facing role forms the operational backbone of a busy sales team and spans the full trade and client lifecycle.

You will sit near the Equity Sales desk, handling day-to-day operations, account opening, KYC and regulatory reporting, and coordinating with onboarding, trading and compliance to keep processes running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Solid middle office, operations or business management experience.
• Experience supporting an equity sales or global markets desk.
• Strong knowledge of HK equities lifecycle, onboarding/KYC and regulatory reporting.
• Fluency in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
• Licenses a plus.

Responsibilities

A leading Chinese securities and investment firm is hiring an experienced Middle Office professional to support its Equity Sales desk. This is a hands-on, desk-facing role for someone who enjoys being the operational backbone of a busy sales team and working across the full trade and client lifecycle.

About the opportunity

You will sit close to the Equity Sales desk, keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly and acting as the connection point between sales, trading, onboarding and compliance.

Your focus

• Account management: support account opening and trading set-up, and run periodic account reviews in line with internal guidelines
• Risk & compliance: help monitor and manage risk exposures, prepare regulatory reports and keep compliance records in good order
• Client support: resolve trade and position queries for the sales team, and help prepare client reports and materials
• Internal coordination: work across onboarding, trading and compliance to keep things moving, and maintain accurate internal records and databases

What we're after

• Solid middle office, operations or business management experience, ideally supporting an equity sales or global markets desk
• Good grasp of the Hong Kong equities trading lifecycle, account opening / KYC and regulatory reporting
• Familiarity with SFC regulatory requirements; relevant licenses a plus
• Sharp attention to detail, strong organization and a genuine team-player mindset
• Fluency in English, Mandarin and Cantonese
• Open to Manager/Senior Manager level, depending on experience
