Job summary

Leadingnation seeks a senior supervisor to oversee daily settlement operations for FXMM and derivatives, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. You will support department head in management reporting, UAT, system enhancements and various projects.

You will supervise trade processing and settlement for FXMM and derivatives, monitor events, manage liquidity with Treasury for faster payments and RTGS/CMU, and drive continuous process improvements and resilience planning.

Qualifications

• Degree holder in Banking / Business Administration / Finance preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Banking or Financial Institution, with at least 4 years in supervisory role.
• Sound knowledge of treasury and investment products.
• Familiar with EasyWay, Xact, CMU, RTGS, SWIFT settlement systems.
• Strong people and project management, plus analytical skills.
• Proficient in English and Chinese, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Supervise trade processing and settlement for FXMM and derivatives.
• Monitor processing of all trade events including corporate actions and option exercises.
• Oversee liquidity management with Treasury for Faster payment, RTGS, CMU, and repo operations.
• Manage nostro fund transfers with Treasury for funding arrangements.
• Perform cash, securities, and position reconciliation on a regular basis.
• Review reports for regulators and management reporting.
• Lead end-to-end process reviews and drive continuous improvement.
• Contribute to BCP and operations resilience planning.
• Monitor day-end controls for all products.
• Liaise with stakeholders to resolve issues.

Job description

You will be responsiblefor supervising team members to carry out daily settlement function for FXMM and derivatives products effectively and efficiently. You will be required to as well as assist Department Head in management reporting, UAT, system enhancement projects or other various projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise trade processing and settlement function for FXMM and derivatives products(including Equity derivatives, interest rate derivatives, FX derivatives, Variation margin management)
• Control & monitor the processing of all trade events (including corporate action, life-cycle events and option exercise events)regularly
• Supervise teams in monitoring RTGS intra-day fund flows together with Treasury in order to manage liquidity for Faster payment settlement, RTGS payment settlement, CMU settlement and repo/discount window operations
• Supervise teams in managing nostro fund transfer with Treasury for funding arrangement
• Managecash, securitiesand position reconciliationat regular basis
• Review regular reports to related stakeholders for regulatory reporting and management reporting
• Monitor daily day end control checking for all products
• Review and update procedure manual regularly in accordance with bank practice
• Liaise with related stakeholders for problem resolution
• Drive the team in end-to-end process review and reengineering projects for continuous process improvement
• Work with department head and teams in BCP and operations resilience planning
• Manage team productivity and staff performance

Requirements

• Degree holder in Banking / Business Administration / Finance is preferred
• Minimum 10 years relevant experience in Banking or Financial Institution of which 4 years at supervisory level
• Sound product knowledge of treasury and investment products
• Familiar with EasyWay, Xact, CMU, RTGS, SWIFT and related settlement system
• Strong people management and project management skills
• Good interpersonal and analytical skills
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
