Job summary

CMB Wing Lung Bank Limited is seeking a capable security professional to join our IT security team in Hong Kong. The role focuses on vulnerability assessment, system hardening, and implementing cyber security solutions to protect the Bank’s IT environment.

The candidate will monitor daily security operations, support security policy execution, and ensure compliance with HKMA cybersecurity requirements and other applicable standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of IT security or information security experience.
• Good understanding of security controls and policies.
• Familiarity with HKMA CFI, SPM, SFC, PCI-DSS guidelines.
• Knowledge of whitelisting, APT protection, vulnerability scanning.
• Experience with privileged account management and patch management.
• Basic cyber security principles and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Perform vulnerability assessments on the Bank’s IT systems.
• Follow HKMA CFI and other regulatory requirements.
• Conduct system and network hardening reviews.
• Assist in implementing cyber security solutions.
• Provide technical support for security-related systems.
• Handle security incidents and report to the security team leader.
• Maintain Bank policies and guidelines on information security.
• Perform daily security monitoring on IT systems.

Job Responsibilities

• Act as a key role on performing vulnerability assessment to the Bank’s IT system.
• Follow the regulatory requirements on security such as HKMA Cybersecurity Fortification Initiatives (CFI) requirements so as to wider the security protection perspectives of the Bank.
• Perform system and network configuration hardening reviews to ensure the system and network security of the Bank.
• Assist in implementation of the Information or Cyber security solutions for cyber security protection perspectives.
• Technical support and administrative on Bank’s security related systems.
• Handle the reported security related matters and report to security team leader for the follow-up status.
• Assist to maintain and administrative on all Bank’s policies, procedures and guidelines regarding to information and cyber security.
• Perform daily security monitoring on the Bank’s IT system.

Job Requirement

• Minimum 2 years relevant working experience in IT administration, Information Security
• Basic understanding in Information / cyber security controls and reviews to ensure the adequate controls and the adherence to Security Policies and Standards of the Bank.
• Basic Understanding on the regulatory requirements such as HKMA SPM, Cybersecurity CFI, SFC, PCI-DSS and etc.
• Basic concepts on software / application whitelisting, APT protection and relevant solutions.
• Experience and understanding on privileged account management, vulnerability scanning, system and network hardening.
• Basic understandings in Cyber Security principles, Information security risk managements & controls.
• Knowledge on firewall, router, switch, IPS/IDS, VPN, Database, Windows / Linux / AIX platforms, patch management, key / certificate management.
• Understanding of the banking systems and applications are preferred.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Putonghua

Education & Professional Qualifications

• Degree holder in Computer Science or Engineering (or related Disciplines)
• CISA / CISM / CISSP or equivalent is preferred
