Job summary

A leading telecom services provider in Hong Kong is seeking a Manager for Data Infrastructure / Data Architecture. This role involves supporting large-scale data management frameworks and translating business requirements into technical specifications. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in Data Lake/Cloud Data Platform implementations and strong knowledge of Azure database platforms. The role offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities for growth and development.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience with Data Lake/Cloud Data Platform implementation.
• Strong understanding of data architecture, governance, and management.
• Good command in both spoken and written Chinese and English.
• Cloud-based design and development, preferably Azure core services.
• Strong understanding of data architecture, governance, metadata management.
• Knowledge in NoSQL, data streaming, data security/governance, DataOps and standard API interfaces.

About this Role

• Support large-scale data management framework, implement batch/real-time data pipelines and data models on Hybrid-Cloud environment
• Responsible for visualize, design and prepare data in a framework that can be used by data scientists, data engineers or data analysts
• Translate business requirements into technology requirements and define data standards and principles
• Define data management and governance processes to ensure data quality and integrity throughout the data lifecycle.
• Bridging the gap between business goals and technology, ensuring proper execution of duties and alignment with business vision and objectives
• Collaborating and coordinating with multiple departments, stakeholders, partners and external vendors

About You

• Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science, or related field
• Minimum 4 years of experience with Data Lake/Cloud Data Platform implementation, have a keen understanding of Data Lake Architecture concept
• Strong experience in Azure database platforms or integration tools such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, and Data Lake Storage Gen2, etc.
• Experience in cloud-based design and development, preferably Azure core services
• Strong understanding of data architecture/data modeling/data governance/metadata management/data asset management
• Knowledge in NoSQL, data streaming, data scraping, elastic scaling, data security/governance, DataOps and standard API interfaces
• Experience in Pentaho/SQL/Python/Spark/node.js/Hadoop/Git, agile development processes and data-driven development
• Knowledge in Data Visualization Tool such as Tableau and Power BI
• Professional, passionate, innovative, self-motivated and able to present solutions to diverse groups of stakeholders.
• Good team player and leader in driving business objectives.
