Job summary

Simatelex Manufactory Co Ltd, Hong Kong, is seeking an engineer to lead new product concept ideation and end-to-end development from concept to mass production. The role requires collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Production and Quality to deliver innovative products.

Candidates should have a degree in Electronic, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years in product development/R&D, and be proficient in English and Chinese.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronic, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant product development / R&D experience.
• Knowledge of NPI, DFM, BOM, design verification and manufacturing processes is preferred.
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for new product concept/idea creation.
• Capable to take development from concept to mass production, including design, prototype development, testing and verification.
• Work with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Production and Quality to bring concepts to production.

Job description

We are a leading OEM manufacturer of electrical household appliances for worldwide brand names. Based in Hong Kong, we have highly integrated production facilities in Guangdong Province and Batam, Indonesia. We would like to invite high caliber individuals to fill the following vacancy:

Responsible for new product concept/idea creation. Capable to cater development from concept to mass production, including engineering design, prototype development, testing and verification, design for manufacturing, troubleshooting and technical documentation. Work closely with sales and marketing team and related departments like Engineering, Production and Quality to create innovative products from concept to production.

Degree in Electronic, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline

Minimum 5 years of relevant product development / R&D engineering experience

Innovative and have creative mindset to develop new products

Hands-on experience in product development, testing, troubleshooting and engineering documentation.

Knowledge of NPI, DFM, BOM, design verification and manufacturing processes is preferred.

Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese

Occasional travel to our PRC manufacturing plant is required

Less experience will be considered as Assistant Manager, R&D
