Job summary

DV Trading seeks a Software Developer - Experienced (DV QES) to join its DV Equities desk. Based in Hong Kong, you will work on a cutting-edge, low-latency trading platform across the stack with a primary focus on C++ or Python depending on team fit.

You’ll collaborate with senior traders and researchers to enhance trading systems, optimize performance, and ensure reliability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience in finance or performance-critical environments.
• Strong proficiency in either C++ or Python; knowledge of the other is a plus.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and multi-threading.
• Experience with Linux/Unix and networking fundamentals.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Focus on either low-latency system development (C++) or data/research tooling (Python), while collaborating across the full stack.
• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, low-latency trading systems and infrastructure using C++.
• Build and optimize data pipelines, backtesting frameworks, and research tools using Python.
• Work with senior traders, quantitative researchers, and software developers to enhance trading systems.
• Optimize system performance, throughput, and reliability at microsecond and batch levels.
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions.
