Job summary

BAH Partners Limited in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced Linux Infrastructure Engineer to join its global infrastructure team. You will maintain enterprise Linux environments across regions, drive automation, and support critical infrastructure operations.

The role requires strong RHEL expertise, automation skills (Ansible, Python), solid networking knowledge, and experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana. English and Cantonese communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience managing enterprise Linux environments, especially RHEL.
• Strong automation and scripting capabilities (Ansible, Python, Perl or Java).
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS).
• Familiarity with server provisioning tools and web servers (Apache, NGINX).
• Experience with monitoring/observability (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Knowledge of storage technologies and infrastructure security best practices.
• Excellent communication in English and Cantonese.

Responsibilities

• Manage lifecycle of enterprise Linux systems across global regions.

• Handle incidents, changes, and root cause analysis.

• Perform routine maintenance, monitoring, provisioning, and troubleshooting.

• Participate in 24/7 operational support with on-call duties (approx. one weekend/month).

A leading financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Linux Infrastructure Engineer to join its global infrastructure team. This role will focus on maintaining the stability, performance, and standardisation of enterprise Linux environments across multiple regions.

The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting critical infrastructure operations, improving platform reliability, driving automation, and delivering technology upgrades. You will work closely with global infrastructure and development teams to ensure consistent operational standards and reliable service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of enterprise Linux systems, ensuring infrastructure stability, performance, and standardisation across global regions.
• Support infrastructure upgrades, platform improvements, and ongoing technology initiatives.
• Manage incidents and changes, conduct root cause analysis, and implement appropriate remediation.
• Drive automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices to improve operational efficiency and consistency.
• Perform routine system maintenance, monitoring, provisioning, and troubleshooting.
• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with enterprise IT governance policies.
• Provide technical guidance and collaborate with global infrastructure and development teams.
• Participate in a 24/7 operational support model, including an on-call rota and weekend coverage (approximately one weekend per month).

Technical Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience in Linux engineering and enterprise Linux environments, particularly Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Strong automation and scripting capabilities, particularly Ansible, Python, Perl, or Java.
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP and DNS.
• Familiarity with server infrastructure, provisioning tools, and web servers such as Apache and NGINX.
• Experience with monitoring and observability solutions such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Knowledge of SAN/NAS storage technologies and infrastructure security best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Cantonese.
