Job summary

Hytech seeks a motivated Legal & Compliance Strategic Operations Intern in Hong Kong to support the day-to-day operations of the Legal & Compliance team in a regulated fintech environment. You will assist with compliance documentation, record keeping, regulatory research and internal coordination, with potential involvement in AI-related initiatives and process improvements.

This internship is on-site, open to students or recent graduates, with a minimum 3-month commitment and five-day workweek

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-month commitment.
• Availability for 5 working days per week preferred.
• Able to work on-site in Hong Kong office.
• Current university students or recent graduates.
• Students in Law, Legal Studies, Finance, Fintech, Business, Accounting, Economics, CS/IS welcome.
• Fluent in English and Chinese, spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to the Legal & Compliance team.
• Assist with compliance documentation, record keeping, filing, data organization and maintenance of internal trackers.
• Support license applications, regulatory submissions and ongoing compliance matters through document preparation and status tracking.
• Assist with regulatory and industry research, including reviewing regulatory announcements and enforcement actions.
• Prepare summaries, trackers or presentation materials based on research findings.
• Support departmental coordination and administrative management, including updating task lists.
• Assist with departmental reports and management updates.
• Assist with compliance training materials, internal guidance and knowledge management.
• Participate in AI, digitalization and process improvement initiatives.
• Assist with communication between Legal, Compliance and other internal teams.
