Zusammenfassung

Thiam Building Construction Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage measurements and cost estimates from tender to completion on construction projects in Hong Kong. The ideal candidate should hold a Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building or Civil Engineering and have at least 5 years of tendering, estimating and quantity measurement experience with strong communication and negotiation skills.

Knowledge of SIA, REDAS and FIDIC is advantageous.

Qualifikationen

• Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years working experience in tendering, estimating and measurement of quantities.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of SIA Conditions of Contract, REDAS, FIDIC will be an added advantage

Aufgaben

• Manage and prepare measurements and cost estimates from initial calculations to final accounts.
• Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
• Evaluate tenders from contractors and subcontractors and negotiate where appropriate.
• Prepare contract documents in accordance with regulations.
• Preparation of Monthly Progress claims, variation orders and payments to subcontractors
• Involve in managing and reporting of project budget & cost control
• Responsible in post-contracts administration for both the Main Contract and Subcontracts
• Monitor all financial aspects of the projects to ensure projects run according to budget
• Liaise and establish rapport with consultants, quantity surveyors, architects, developers and contractors on certification of claims for payment
• Be familiar with various stages of projects to source for the most viable yet reasonable priced materials
• Able to share new perspectives on cost, orders and claims
• With the understanding of the contractual legal rights, he/ she will be involved in advising the management on their position of the contract from the tender stage
