Job summary

Societe Generale in Hong Kong offers a 12-month Trainee contract within the Structuring Team, focusing on fixed-income derivatives coverage across Rates, Credit, and FX. You will support pricing, develop tools, and collaborate with senior structurers to understand pricing parameters and XVA impacts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering or similar.
• Experience in a trading floor environment is a plus.
• Coding skills (VBA, Python) and automation mindset.
• Strong analytical, computer and interpersonal skills as well as exceptional writing, communication and presentations skills.
• Strong team players who can demonstrate creativity and initiative.
• Strong interest in financial markets and understanding complex products.
• Fluent English and Mandarin are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Support structurers in providing fast and accurate pricings to sales.
• Maintain and improve existing pricing tools used by the desk.
• Develop with structurers on specific products a deep understanding and knowledge of parameters impact on pricing.
• Develop new products and strategies under the lead of a pricer.
• Collect/analyze flow information and client intelligence.
• Establish good relationships with sales and trading departments.
• Participate actively in the digitization of the pricing platform.
• Help support execution of transactions by senior structurers.
• Understand and apply all aspects of swap pricing including the XVA chain.
