Job summary

ConnectedGroup is seeking a Java or C# Developer to join our Equity/Global Markets team in Hong Kong. You will design, develop, test and implement new systems, maintain interfaces for Middle Office and back-office applications, and support Excel-based tools used by Equity and Research teams.

The role requires hands-on experience with C# or Java, Linux, shell scripting, Excel VBA, and SQL, plus knowledge of OO programming.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Strong understanding of Equity trading and middle-/back-office operations.
• Hands-on experience with C# or Java, Linux, shell scripting, Excel VBA and SQL.
• Experience with SSIS, Python, Omgeo CTM, AWS Cloud, Gloss, Ullink or Fidessa is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; good English and Chinese communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and implement new systems based on requirements.
• Develop interfaces for the Middle Office System and back-office apps.
• Support and enhance Excel-based tools used by Equity teams.
• Maintain data applications, SQL Server databases, and Linux batch jobs.
• Plan unit, functional, and integration testing; maintain docs and test results.
• Provide second-line application support with other teams.
• Collaborate with DBA, Infra, and IT to resolve issues and report findings.
• Assess feasibility of solutions and present recommendations to stakeholders.
• Improve deployment and release processes via automation.
• Coordinate IT changes with regional offices; provide early-shift support when needed.
