Job summary

STMicroelectronics in Hong Kong/ Singapore Front-End Manufacturing context seeks a software professional to support DTIT. You’ll engage in SECS-GEM integration, C/C++-like back-end processing, and web-based applications addressing operation efficiency and quality in a mega semiconductor site.

Required: Bachelor in CS/CE/IT and 2–3 years in software development; Unix/Linux/Windows experience; strong PL/SQL, Java, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, web services, C/C++; scripting in Perl/Shell or Python.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering /Information Technology.
• 2–3 years of software development experience.
• Experience in Unix, Linux and Windows environments.
• Experience in web-based applications and backend processing.
• Proficiency in PL/SQL, Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, web services, C/C++, and scripting.
• Interest in Gen AI tools (ChatGPT, Github Copilot) welcomed.
• Prefer SECS/GEM knowledge and wafer fab/manufacturing exposure.

Responsibilities

• Gather user requirements and obtain sign-off.
• Participate in the SDLC from design to deployment.
• Maintain and enhance current systems with new features and fixes.
• Ensure robustness and high availability of solutions.
• Provide end-user training for features and new solutions.
• Prepare 24x7 helpdesk materials for level-1 support.
• Provide 24x7 level-2 support for timely issue resolution.

YOUR ROLE

You will be joining the DTIT organization, supporting Singapore Front-End Manufacturing operations of STMicroelectronics.

This dedicated team supports the Advanced Equipment Automation Integration and real-time applications for our mega semiconductor manufacturing site.

The team is providing significant improvement for various key indicators: operation efficiency, reliability, product quality and cost reduction.

You will need to adapt yourself quickly to a mix of legacy tools and state-of-the-art solutions to deliver: SECS-GEM Integration, \"C/C++ like\" back-end processing, web based applications, web services or applications integration using Tibco BusinessWorks.

JOB SCOPE

• Gather user requirements and ensure users sign-off requirements specification
• Participate in the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Maintain current system: new features, bugs fixing, code refactoring and performance optimization
• Maintain and enhance robustness and high availability of all solutions
• Provide training to end-users for the available features or new solutions
• To equip 24x7 helpdesk team with comprehensive materials and knowledge for 1st level of support
• To provide 24x7 level 2 support to ensure timely resolution of issues

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering /Information Technology
• At least 2-3 years working experiences in software development
• Experience in Unix, Linux and Windows environment
• Experience in web-based applications
• Strong in application development with MySQL/Oracle and performance optimization
• Strong in PL/SQL, Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, web services, C/C++ and perl/shell or python scripting
• Driven to harness capabilities of with Gen AI assistants such as ChatGPT or Github Copilot
• Preferable with SECS/GEM knowledge
• Preferable with experience in wafer fab or manufacturing
• Ability to adapt quickly to new technology and in-house application
