Job summary

Smith & Associates Far East Ltd. in Hong Kong is seeking a Component Inspector to perform hands-on testing and inspection of IT hardware components, including servers and network equipment, to ensure quality and compatibility.

You will configure products to customer specifications, document discrepancies, and collaborate with Inventory, Production Control, Supply Chain and Sales to resolve issues while maintaining strict ESD and safety practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience assembling or hands-on testing IT hardware (servers, accessories).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• SAP or SAP ByDesign experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Sort, repair, test and troubleshoot electronic hardware.
• Configure products to customer specifications.
• Generate discrepancy reports.
• Provide customer technical support.
• Interface with Inventory, Production Control, Supply Chain and Sales to troubleshoot issues.
• Address inventory spec issues and provide updates to Supply Chain and Inventory Control.
• Assist Operations team and other departments as needed.
• Adhere to and maintain ESD requirements in all required work areas.
• Adhere to all quality, safety and environmental processes and policies.
