Job Description

• Lead team of software developers of different disciplines (Web, J2EE, ASP.NET) to design and support custom applications and support 3rd party applications
• Manage large cross functional business application implementation projects.
• Become the expert and preferably Architect on current Product Lifecycle Management environment and drive solutions and roadmap for future PLM enhancements or adoptions.
• Gather and prioritize requirements, manage scope, schedule, and delivery of Product Life Management (PLM) System (System, Tools and Data) to support the cross-functional design and manufacturing processes.
• The PLM software is used to automate the management of product-related data including the management of BOM - Bill of Materials, Document Management, Change Management, and Product Data Management, Part Number database. The PLM system integrates with other business processes such as Oracle enterprise resource planning (ERP) and custom manufacturing execution systems (MES)
• Perform process analysis, functional and logical system designs across multiple business functions
• Collaborate with business leaders (Ex. Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement) to understand and document business and tools. Facilitate solutions, develop approaches and define deliverables required to implement complex business processes
• Work collaboratively with process owners and subject matter experts to provide solutions by managing the development of custom applications or find, manage, and support the adoption of 3rd party software applications.
• Research and evaluate emerging technology, industry and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support activities
• Document business solutions architecture plans and describes how the architecture aligns with the business strategy

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years’ experience in implementation of Product Lifecycle Management solutions in R&D and Manufacturing (preferably in electronic) industries.
• Demonstrated experience leading global teams of application developers of different skillsets
• 5 years’ demonstrated experience and capability in architecting and developing business requirements, functional specifications and business process documentation, and leading development resources on enterprise application projects, delivering results on time and on budget.
• Strong understanding of the Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory and Supply Chain business (preferably in the electronic industry) areas and their supporting technology as well as broad understanding of overall business units
• Leadership, negotiation skills, and ability to learn the business strategy and operations and systems requirements processes.
• A strong understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Product Data Management (PDM), processes including packaging, raw materials, BOMs and regulatory compliance
• Recent and Functional experience with PLM
• Experience with Product Portfolio management systems, Requirements Management and Issue Tracking Tools (ex. Jama, JIRA) a plus
• Experience with Mobile application development a plus
• Gather and prioritize requirements, manage scope, schedule, and delivery of PLM solutions (System, Tools and Data) to support the cross-functional design and manufacturing processes.
• Create a PLM architecture and roadmap
• Work cross-department, cross-project and cross the globe to gather requirements, build project plans, get approval and complete delivery of PLM solutions using excellent communication and collaboration techniques.
• Develop and cultivate relationships with SME’s and stakeholders by facilitating workshops with SMEs/stakeholders to gain an understanding of business needs and priorities, and to get buy-in from the functional units.
• Drive process improvement efforts for business-critical systems using IT and enterprise systems and act as a conduit between business and IT to plan the PLM technical development and execute system implementation.
