Job summary

China Telecom Global Limited is seeking an experienced investment analyst to lead end-to-end origination and pre-investment development of data center projects across assigned regions. You will conduct market research, identify opportunities, and maintain relationships with authorities and partners.

You will perform financial due diligence, review financial statements, and assess profitability and cash flows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Investment, Business Administration or related disciplines.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in investment analysis, financial due diligence or project investment within the data center or related industries.
• Solid experience in full-cycle fund management.
• Proven cross-border/regional data center project development or investment experience.
• Professional qualifications such as CPA, CFA or legal qualifications are desirable.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project origination and pre-investment development of data center projects; formulate development plans and milestones; conduct regional market research and competitive analysis; identify investment opportunities and maintain relationships with government authorities and partners.
• Spearhead financial due diligence for data center projects; establish standardized FDD procedures; review financial statements; validate data accuracy and assess profitability, debt servicing and cash flow projections; identify risks and propose mitigations.
• Review target company equity structures; verify legitimacy of equity sources; assess dispute risks; support acquisition decisions and negotiations.
• Prepare comprehensive investment appraisal reports and committee papers; present findings to the Investment Committee; support decision-making with financial analysis and risk assessment.
• Oversee post-investment monitoring and portfolio management; track performance against projections; prepare periodic performance reports.

Key responsibilities

1. Lead end-to-end project origination and pre-investment development of data center projects in assigned regions; formulate development plans and key milestones; conduct in-depth regional market research and competitive analysis; identify investment opportunities and maintain relationships with government authorities and business partners;
2. Spearhead financial due diligence (FDD) for data center projects across assigned regions and countries; establish standardized FDD procedures and guidelines; review financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement) of target projects/companies; validate financial data accuracy and assess profitability, debt servicing capability and cash flow projections; identify financial risks and propose risk mitigation measures;
3. Conduct detailed review of target company equity structures; examine special circumstances including share pledges, freezing orders and nominee shareholdings; verify legitimacy of equity sources; assess potential dispute risks; provide professional support for acquisition decisions and negotiation processes;
4. Prepare comprehensive investment appraisal reports and investment committee papers; present findings and recommendations to the Investment Committee; support investment decision-making with thorough financial analysis and risk assessment;
5. Oversee post-investment monitoring and portfolio management; track project performance against financial projections; conduct regular investment reviews and prepare periodic performance reports for management.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Investment, Business Administration or related disciplines;
2. 5+ years of relevant experience in investment analysis, financial due diligence or project investment within the data center, internet infrastructure or related industries;
3. Solid experience in full-cycle fund management, including fundraising, investment execution and post-investment management;
4. Proven track record in cross-border/regional data center project development or investment; familiarity with financial and tax policies as well as foreign investment regulations in key markets such as Southeast Asia, Greater China and other target regions;
5. Professional qualifications such as CPA, CFA or legal qualifications are highly desirable;
6. Excellent command of written and spoken English and Mandarin.
